FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS, THE GIRL CARDINALS TAKE DOWN TORONTO PLAYGROUNDS AT CONNORVALE PARK

Beneath a cool ceiling of serene skies, the Royal York Girls defeated the Toronto Playgrounds Peewee Selects 17-1 in four innings of Etobicoke Baseball Association (EBA) Select Loop action this evening at Connorvale Park.

Here is a brief summary of the proceedings courtesy of Andy Marcus: 

  • The TP Peewee Selects were mercied by the powerful Royal York Girls squad after four innings of play.
  • Despite a short bench, TP gamely pressed on through a couple tough innings and went down swinging against the Girl Cardinals.
  • With a never say die attitude, TP always believed their was a possibility of a comeback. Maybe next time?
  • With their convincing 17-1 victory, the Royal York Girls earned their fourth EBA Peewee Select win of the season.

After participating in the Milton Tournament this upcoming weekend, the TP Peewee Selects (0-6) continue their EBA Peewee Select Loop road trip next Wednesday (June 13) when they venture to Millwood Park to battle the Bloordale Gold at 6:00 p.m.
