Under a luscious ceiling of warm summer skies, the Annette Black defeated the Toronto Playgrounds Minor Mosquito Selects 14-0 in a spirited three inning round robin qualification playoff game this evening at Ravina Gardens at the 2019 Etobicoke Baseball Association (EBA) Mosquito Select Championship Tournament.

Despite the lopsided result, TP put in a feisty and plucky effort against a top tier opponent.

Here are a few highlights:

  • TP starter Sawyer (43) threw two workmanlike innings against Annette.
  • Mike (9) turned a sweet double play for the TP D.
  • Hudson (18) delivered a hit in the first inning.

The TP Minor Mosquito Selects (0-1) continue their journey at the EBA tourney tomorrow (Saturday, August 17) morning at Christie Pits Diamond 3 when they battle the Martingrove Grey at 9 a.m.
