2019 TP House League Baseball Rookie Ball Celebration Day Event On Deck for August 24

The Toronto Playgrounds Baseball Committee wishes to remind Parents and Players that our 2019 Rookie Ball Celebration Day is on tap for Saturday, August 24! This is the final day of our Junior and Senior Rookie Ball season, and we’re hoping that everyone will be able to join us for the fun at Christie Pits!

All players and coaches will receive a free lunch from the TP Baseball BBQ Zone consisting of a hot dog (meat or veggie), a bag of chips, and a juice box after at the Celebration Day event. Hot dogs and drinks will also be for sale to friends and family members.

Players will also receive their trophy and individual and team photos after their game.

Here is the 2019 Rookie Ball Celebration Day Schedule for Saturday, August 24:

  • 9:00 a.m. > River Cats at Clippers [Christie Pits Diamond 3]
  • 9:15 a.m. > Redbirds at Bulls [Christie Pits Diamond 2]
  • 10:30 a.m. > Tides at Sky Sox [Christie Pits Diamond 3]
  • 10:45 a.m. > Knights at Mud Hens [Christie Pits Diamond 2]
  • 12:00 noon > Storm Chasers at Sounds [Christie Pits Diamond 3]
  • 12:15 p.m. > Express at Bisons [Christie Pits Diamond 2]
  • 1:30 p.m. > Chihuahuas at Iron Pigs [Christie Pits Diamond 3]
  • 1:45 p.m. > Aces at Zephyrs [Christie Pits Diamond 2]

Parents and Players are advised that our photographer will be on hand during the Celebration Day Event from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to take individual photos of players who missed our first photo day session earlier this season.

The Committee will be arranging pick up days for photos and trophies for anyone who can’t make it on the August 24, and announcing the date/time/location details as soon as they are finalized.

Teams whose games start before 1:00 p.m. will eat lunch after their game.

Teams whose games start after 1:00 p.m. will eat their lunch before their game.

In addition, we are looking for volunteers to help us with preparing the food and delivering the orders, so if you’d like to help out (when your team isn’t playing of course) then let us know by return e-mail atinfo@tpbaseball.ca.
