TWO TEAMS FROM THE MOSQUITO DIVISION RED POOL DUKE IT OUT AT CHRISTIE PITS ON THURSDAY EVENING IN A CLASH TO TAKE HOME THE CHAMPIONSHIP PRIZE
The 2019 Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball Tournament Mosquito Division Championship Game between the Astros and Tigers is on deck for Thursday (September 12) evening at Christie Pits Diamond 2 at 6:00 p.m.
After a series of hotly contested round robin and elimination games, both of the Mosquito Division teams in the championship final emerged from the Red Pool.
The top seeded Astros finished with a stellar 5-0-1 overall record to advance into the final round. Meanwhile, the Tigers (5-2-0) took a more adventurous voyage to reach the championship round. After losing their first two round robin games, the fourth seeded Tigers caught fire as they reeled off five consecutive victories in order to reach the final round.
It’s community baseball at its finest as these two talented teams meet head to head in a showdown for all the championship marbles.
