REGISTRATIONS ARE BEING ACCEPTED FOR THE SPRINGTIME EDITION OF OUR INDOOR BASEBALL SKILLS AND DRILLS CLASSES FOR INTERESTED PARTICIPANTS AGED 7 TO 12
The Spring 2022 Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball Academy is open for registration!
The Academy classes are a great way for players to get ready for the outdoor season! The weekly indoor classes give participants the chance to develop new skills and continue to build their existing skills, and will be led by trained TP Instructors/Field Supervisors.
The TP House League Baseball Academy features sixty-minute long weekly indoor skills and drills classes that take place in a gym. Each week’s class will focus on specific baseball skill or theme. Participants will be able to enjoy even more baseball while enhancing their skills and building increased self-confidence in their baseball abilities.
The current TDSB policy in place for permit groups requires anyone who is 12 years and 12 weeks of age or older must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (two doses) in order to enter the school. Toronto Playgrounds staff will be verifying vaccination status and ID outside the door of the school, and vaccination status should be in the form of a QR code on your phone. Parents/Guardians of Tee Ball Academy registrants will need to present QR code to enter the school.
There are classes for ages 7 to 9 years and for ages 10 to 12 years.
Days:
- Tuesdays or Thursdays (Participants sign up for one day or the other)
Times:
- 6:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. (for 7 to 9 years olds)
- 7:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. (for 10 to 12 year olds).
Tuesday Location:
- Winona Senior Public School double gym at 101 Winona Drive. (4 blocks west of Christie and 2 blocks north of Davenport / corner of Tyrell Ave and Winona Drive.)
Thursday Location:
- Humewood Community School gym: 15 Cherrywood Avenue. (1 block east of Rushton Road / 3 blocks west of Wychwood Ave and 4 blocks north of St. Clair Ave West and 1 block south of Vaughan Road.)
Format:
- 4 weeks of 60 minute classes for each group.
Registration fee:
- $ 90.00/four-week session.
Schedule:
- Tuesday sessions: April 5, 12, 19 and 26
- Thursday sessions: April 7, 14, 21 and 28
