THE TORONTO PLAYGROUNDS BASEBALL ASSOCIATION (TPBA) ARE PLAYING HOST TO A FREE MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL-TORONTO BLUE JAYS BASEBALL ACADEMY YOUTH BASEBALL CLINIC FOR PARTICPANTS AGED 8 TO 12 YEARS OLD
In proud association with the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Academy, the Toronto Playgrounds Baseball Association (TPBA) are playing host to a FREE Major League Baseball (MLB) Play Ball Clinic on Saturday, June 11 at Christie Pits for all youth participants aged 8 to 12 years old.
The Blue Jays Baseball Academy are joining MLB in a coordinated effort to celebrate youth baseball and softball with the league-wide Play Ball weekend initiative. In partnership with the TPBA, the Blue Jays are proud to be hosting these one day, three-hour FREE youth baseball clinics in the Toronto area for kids aged 8-12.
Registered participants will rotate through drills that cover skills including: infield, outfield, hitting, throwing, agility, and baserunning. Clinic registrants will also participate in a Baseball Athletic Training station which serves as an introduction to fundamental athletic movement.
These clinics are taught exclusively by Blue Jays Baseball Academy Instructors. Academy Instructors are NCCP registered, experienced coaches, who have been trained in the ‘Blue Jays Way’ of teaching baseball to youth.
All MLB Play Ball participants will receive a Blue Jays hat, T-shirt and digital baseball skills manual.
Registration is free for all participants.
Participants will have a choice of one of two MLB Play Ball Clinic session times taht are available at Christie Pits:
- Saturday, June 11 > 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. [Christie Pits – Toronto]
- Saturday, June 11 > 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. [Christie Pits – Toronto]
