TORONTO PLAYGROUNDS PREVAIL OVER THE ATHLETICS TO TAKE HOME THE CHAMPIONSHIP PRIZE IN BRAMPTON
Beneath a hazy ceiling of hot and humid summer skies, the Toronto Playgrounds 18U ‘AA’ Reps defeated the North Toronto 17U A’s 15-4 this afternoon to win the 2023 Brampton Minor Baseball Incorporated (BMBI) 18U ‘AA’ Rep & Below Tournament Championship Game.
The TP 18U Reps began their journey at the tourney on Saturday morning with a 5-1 victory in their opening round robin game at the BMBI tournament.
After a 6-1 round robin game loss to the Lac St-Louis 18U Tigers, Toronto Playgrounds rebounded with a stellar 9-3 victory over the Royal York 18U ‘AA’ Cardinals in the their third robin contest to earn a berth in the BMBI playoff elimination round.
In a tooth and nail semi-final battle where runs came at a premium, TP 18U Rep prevailed 4-2 over the Brampton 18U ‘AA’ Royals this morning to punch their ticket into a championship round showdown versus the North Toronto A’s.

The TPBA also wishes to commend all the TP 18U ‘AA’ Rep coaches, players, parents and family members for representing the core values of Toronto Playgrounds Baseball program with honour, dignity and professionalism both on and off the diamond at the Brampton tourney and during the course of the 2023 season.
