TWO PLAYERS AND A COACH FROM THE TORONTO PLAYGROUNDS BASEBALL ASSOCIATION (TPBA) HAD A GRAND OLE TIME AT THE NINTH EDITION OF THE BFA NATIONALS IN ELIZABETHTOWN, KENTUCKY. THE ANNUAL BFA NATIONALS EVENT IS THE LARGEST ALL-GIRLS BASEBALL TOURNAMENT HELD IN THE U.S.A., WITH PARTICIPATING PLAYERS FROM THE U.S., CANADA, AUSTRALIA, FRANCE, MEXICO, SOUTH KOREA, AND BEYOND.
This week, Toronto Playgrounds Baseball Association (TPBA) players Julia and Lauren, and TPBA Coach Rebecca, had a hot diggity dog good time participating in their fifth Baseball For All (BFA) Nationals tournament in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
The week-long all-girls baseball BFA tournament has been held annually in the U.S.A. for the past nine years, and is the largest girls baseball tourney held in the continental United States.
Any girl is welcome to participate in the BFA National event, which hosts a cornucopia selection of passionate female baseball players from the U.S., Canada, Australia, France, Mexico, South Korea, and other international locales.
This year, Julia and Lauren joined other teammates from Canada and various U.S. states to play in the 18U bracket.
Both Julia and Lauren have appreciated the opportunity to represent Canada and meet and talk baseball with many other girls who enjoy playing the game as much as they do.
They both credit much of their baseball experience and their love for the game to their many years playing at TP!
