PEEWEE TUESDAYS: Red Sox Edge Yankees 10-9


BEANTOWNERS HANG ON FOR HARD FOUGHT WIN OVER BRONX BOMBERS

Jayden (1) of the Red Sox pitched a perfect second inning to pick up the victory while striking out two Yankees.

In a hard fought contest between two historic Peewee Division rivals, the Red Sox edged the Yankees 10-9 in 3 ½ innings of play tonight.

Luke (7) closed out the Red Sox win with two strikeouts in the top of the fourth.

The Red Sox used a disciplined approach at the plate to construct their lead as they walked thirteen times in eighteen plate appearances during the game.

The big inning for the Beantowners was the second inning where back to back singles by Nicholas (12) and Ben (10) put them ahead for good.

The Yankees threatened with some loud hits from Matthew and Avery. However, the Red Sox pitching staff was able to diffuse any serious rally attempts. Anchoring the Red Sox was a perfect second inning pitched by Jayden (1) where he struck out two for the victory.

Luke (7) of the Red Sox struck out the last two Yankees in the top of the fourth to close out the game and preserve the win.
