Despite giving up the run, Dodgers starting pitcher Louis (1) proceeded to strikeout the next three Lizzies batters to close out inning.

Jackson’s (14) clutch two out single kickstarted a big four run second inning for the Dodgers.

The Dodgers answered back with four runs in the top of the second to take the lead 4-1. With one out, Emma (12) and Jacob (11) drew consecutive walks. Jackson (14) hit a two out clutch single to bring Emma home with the tying run. After Michael (3) was hit by a pitch to load the bases, Everett (4) drew a walk to bring in Jacob with the go ahead run. With the bases still juiced, Louis was hit by a pitch, which allowed Jackson to come home. Astrid (2) fouled off some tough pitches to draw a bases loaded walk that allowed Michael to come in from third to close out scoring.

In the bottom of the second, the Lizzies stormed back in “Walk This Way” fashion with three runs to tie the game. Sam (7), Sarah (14) and Cameron (3) drew consecutive walks to lead off the inning and load the bases. After some stolen bases, Kyle blazed home from third on a wild pitch to put the Lizzies ahead. Sam delivered a one out triple to allow Dylan to come home with an insurance run. Sam came home with another run on a wild pitch.
