Under serene summer skies at Dominico Field at Christie Pits this evening, the Homesteads defeated the Crawfords 10-3 in four innings of Midget Division play.
Here are the highlights:
- Homesteads pitcher Oliver (11) threw two solid and scoreless innings against the Crawfords.
- Sam (3) of the Homesteads scored three runs. Sam also pitched a strong inning against the Crawfords.
- Vidit (2) of the Homesteads hit a double and also scored two runs. Vidit threw a strong inning and allowed one unearned run.
- David (13) scored two runs for the Homesteads.
- The switch hitting Parker worked his magic and delivered a RBI single.
- Crawfords pitcher Adrian tossed two strong innings against the Homesteads.
- Renee of the Crawfords delivered a DEEP DISH PIZZA hit to the outfield that looke like a run scoring triple. However, Adrian of the Crawfords was thrown out at home trying to score from first on a great Homesteads relay throw to end the game.
