DOWN 7-0, THE LIZZIES RALLIED FOR NINE UNANSWERED RUNS TO WIN THEIR OPENING ROUND ROBIN GAME
Bantam Lizzies reliever Sammy (3) pitched two shutout innings against the Expos. Sammy’s stellar effort kept the Lizzies within striking distance and allow them to rally for the win at Dominico Field at Christie Pits.
Beneath drizzling rain and overcast skies this evening, the Lizzies usurped the Expos 9-7 in 4 ½ innings to win their opening game in the Bantam Division Round Robin at Dominico Field at Christie Pits.
Trailing 7-0, the Lizzies rallied for nine unanswered runs to overtake the Expos.
The Lizzies (1-0) play their next round robin game against the White Sox (0-0) on Thursday evening. Meanwhile, the Expos (0-1) will host the A’s in their next round robin game on Friday.
