Bantam & Midget Tournament Schedule Revision

THE RAINOUT OF THE LIZZIES & MONARCHS GAME HAS FORCED A CHANGE IN THE TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

The TP Baseball Committee has issued a revised schedule for the Bantam and Midget Divisions End-of-Season Tournament.

Because the Midget Division game scheduled between the Monarchs and Lizzies for 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4 was rained out, and in order to fit in the replaying of this game, some other changes are necessary.

We need to have the Midget Division conclude by Sunday night if at all possible, as there are players in the division attending school out of town, and while they are able to come back on the weekend to play in the tournament they need to head back for Monday. Therefore, the priority for the weekend is to get the Midget games completed.

Therefore, the two midget games scheduled for Saturday are going to be played earlier in the day so that a third midget round robin game can be played Saturday night at 8:00 pm in place of the scheduled Bantam semi-final. The Midget semi-final and championship games will be played at the originally scheduled times on Sunday, September 10.

Playing the two Midget games earlier on Saturday means that one of the Bantam round robin games, the A’s at the Lizzies, is being moved from 1:15 pm to 5:45 pm. These changes also mean that there will be no Bantam semi-final game played on Saturday Sept. 8. One of the bantam semi-final games will be played at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 9 (it’s originally scheduled time), and the second Bantam semi-final will be played at 5:30 p.m. in place of the scheduled Bantam Championship game. The Bantam Championship Game will be played on Monday, September 10 at 7:00 p.m.

All of these revised times are shown on the REVISED Bantam & Midget tournament schedule below:

We apologize for any inconvenience these changes may cause, but we really want to try to accommodate our Midget players who are making the effort to come back to Toronto to take part in our tournament as part of their teams.
