IN A BARNBURNER, THE LIZZIES PREVAILED TO WIN THEIR SECOND ROUND ROBIN GAME AT THE TOURNAMENT

Beneath warm summer skies, the Lizzies edged the White Sox 11-10 in an exciting five inning barnburner at Dominico Field at Christie Pits to win their second game in the Bantam Division Round Robin.
Tied 7-7 after four innings, the Lizzies scored four in the top of the fifth to surge ahead 11-7
The White Sox doggedly fought back in the bottom of the fifth. The three time defending Bantam Division champions rallied for three runs to trim the deficit to one. However, their comeback attempt fell short.
Here are some additional highlights:
- Both Lizzies pitchers Alex and Sammy (3) tossed two strong innings each.
- Lizzies catcher Jack caught three workmanlike innings. Jack also collected two hits and scored two runs.
- Both Josiah and Natasha (11) of the Lizzies scored two runs each.
The Lizzies (2-0) will play their next round robin game against the A’s (0-1) on Saturday evening at 5:45 p.m. Meanwhile, the White Sox (1-1) will play the Expos (0-1) in their next round robin game on Saturday morning at 11 a.m.
