THE JAYS GROUNDED THE O’s TO WIN THEIR FIRST ROUND ROBIN GAME OF THE TOURNAMENT

Beneath serene summer skies, the Jays defeated the Orioles 5-2 in 4 ½ innings to win their first game of the Peewee Division Round Robin.
The Jays used a combination of opportune offense and solid pitching to prevail over the Orioles.
Here are the highlights:
- Jays pitchers Keegan (2), Reid (13) and Sam (12) combined to limit the potent Orioles offense to two runs over the course of five innings.
- Orioles reliever Simon (5) threw two stellar innings in the third and fourth to keep the Jays off the scoreboard.
- Reid (13) powered a 2 RBI ground rule double in the second.
- Noah (15) and Leo (7) came scored the O’s runs.
The Jays (1-0) will play their next round robin game against the Royals (1-0) on Friday night at 7:45 p.m. Meanwhile, the Orioles (0-1) will face the Lizzies (0-1) in their next round robin game on Friday evening at 5:45 p.m.
