Beneath gorgeous skies at Dominico Field this evening, the Lizzies edged the White Sox 9-8 in an entertaining and well contested six inning game to win the 2012 Toronto Playgrounds Bantam Division Championship.
With one out, a runner at second base, and the score deadlocked 8-8, Jeremy (7) stroked a grace under pressure clutch RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning to allow Aster (10) to motor home with the winning run of the game.
The TP Baseball Committee wishes to commend White Sox Head Coach Alex Beauvais, Assistant Coach Chris Novielli, and all the White Sox players on a great season.
The Committee also wishes to congratulate Lizzies Head Coach Steve Smith and Assistant Coach Marco Bianchi for guiding this talented group of players to such great heights of achievement in 2012.
