TP House League Baseball Uniform Distribution To Take Place On May 3 and 4

UPDATE: UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION SESSION ON THURSDAY, MAY 2 HAS BEEN CANCELLED; PARENTS & PLAYERS IN OUR TEE BALL, ROOKIE BALL, MOSQUITO AND PEEWEE AGE GROUPS CAN PICK UP THEIR UNIFORMS AT THE ALEX DUFF POOL BUILDING ON FRIDAY & SATURDAY AS ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED

SONY DSCThe Toronto Playgrounds Baseball Committee has cancelled its House League Baseball Uniform Distribution session for Thursday, May 2.

However, we are proceeding as originally scheduled with our uniform distribution on Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4.

Uniforms for players in our Tee Ball (2006-2009), Rookie Ball (2004-2005), Mosquito (2002-2003) and Peewee (2000-2001) age classifications will be distributed at the Alex Duff Pool Building (779 Crawford Street), located in the northwest quadrant of Christie Pits.

TBA 100a logo Final-003Here are the dates and times for the Uniform Distribution:

  • FRIDAY, MAY 3 > 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • SATURDAY, MAY 4 > 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

ALL Tee Ball and Rookie Ball Players will receive a cap and team jersey.

There will be a slight change to uniform pick-up this year for players in the Mosquito and Peewee divisions. You’ll pick up your jersey and hat as always, but rather than picking up your pants, you’ll try on our sample pairs and then we’ll be ordering the pants for everyone after the pick up days. This will get the pants to us in time for our season opener without the hassles of past years, when we had to send pants back and re-order other sizes.

Although players in our Bantam (1998-1999) and Midget (1995-1997) Divisions will not be receiving their cap and jersey until the team rosters have been finalized, the Committee kindly asks that ALL registered players in these age groups to come down to the uniform distribution centre and try on some sample pairs of pants so we can order the proper size for you before the season opens.

In celebration of the centennial year of amateur baseball in the City of Toronto, ALL house league players will be receiving a commemorative iron on patch. The TP Baseball Committee respectfully asks parents for their cooperation in ironing on the 100th Anniversary patch on the left sleeve of their child’s baseball jersey at home. Detailed instructions will be provided.

Also, players in our Tee Ball and Rookie Ball program will be receiving an iron on “I Just Played…I’m Thirsty” patch from our sponsor, Tim Hortons. All Tee Ball and Rookie Ball players will be entitled to a free lemonade from their local Tim Hortons after each of their regular season games this season. The patch must be shown to receive the free cold drink. Parents are kindly asked to affix the patch to their child’s jersey.

We are also looking for volunteers to help us distribute the uniforms. If you have some spare time, please contact us.

Finally, the Committee respectfully asks for patience from all parents and players during the Uniform Distribution process. We have a limited number of volunteers who will serve you as expeditiously and professionally as possible. Thank you in advance for your understanding as we distribute over 400 uniforms, caps and patches to all the players in our six age divisions.
