DESPITE ON AND OFF RAIN AND HAIL ON A COLD, DOG DAY AFTERNOON, NOTHING COULD DISCOURAGE THESE DEDICATED TP BASEBALL PLAYERS AND FANS FROM WATCHING THE IBL TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS TAKE ON THE BRANTFORD RED SOX AT DOMINICO FIELD AT CHRISTIE PITS ON MOTHER’S DAY
Report and Picture filed by Bill Evans (TP Website Cub Reporter)
Eight players from Toronto Playgrounds Baseball, representing House League, Select and Rep braved the hail, rain and cold to enjoy the Intercounty Baseball League Toronto Maple Leafs take on the Brantford Red Sox in a Mother’s Day showdown at Dominico Field at Christie Pits.
The TP Baseball Committee is planning another TP player caravan at a future Maple Leafs game and hoping for warmer weather…along with a better result for the home team (The Red Sox pounded the Leafs 11-1).
Thanks to the all players and Moms for coming out today! We salute you for your love of the game!
