Lizzies pitcher Evan (13) threw a workmanlike two innings against the Expos while allowing only three runs.

Beneath blue skies at Dominico Field at Christie Pits this evening, the Expos defeated the Lizzies 9-4 in four innings of Bantam Division action.

The Expos made the most of their opportunities in their showdown with an undermanned Lizzies team that only had six players in the lineup at game time.

Here are the highlights:

  • The Expos bullpen pitched a good game in neutralizing the Lizzies offense.
  • Cooper of the Expos made an excellent catch on a line drive down the third base line off of Reid (8) of the Lizzies that saved two runs from scoring and from tying the game in the top of the second inning.
