DESPITE THE RESULT, TORONTO PLAYGROUNDS HAD A FUN TIME ON THE DIAMOND AT ROTARY PARK

Beneath warm and beautiful blue skies this evening at Rotary Park, the Royal York (1) Cardinals defeated our TP Mosquito Selects 12-1 in 3 ½ innings of EBA West Select Loop play.

Despite the final result, Toronto Playgrounds put in a workmanlike effort on the diamond; and in the end, a wonderful time was had by all.

Here are the highlights:

  • Both TP Pitchers Oly (6) and Louis (16) had great innings on the mound.
  • Mosquito Select catchers Lachlan (28) and Tillie (9) both had stellar games behind the plate.
  • Both Daniel (3) and Leandro (10) delivered hits for TP.
  • Nigel (20) delivered a clutch RBI hit.

The Mosquito Selects (2-4) play their next game at home on Sunday, June 23 when they host Weston at Christie Pits Diamond 2 at 6:00 p.m.
