TENACIOUS WHITE SOX RALLY FALLS SHORT AS THE EXPOS HANG ON FOR THE VICTORY AT CHRISTIE PITS
Game Report composed with file from Alex Beauvais
On a gorgeous summer evening at Dominico Field, the Expos edged the White Sox 5-4 in five thrilling innings of Bantam Division action.
Trailing 5-1, the White Sox tenaciously rallied for three runs in the final inning to trim the deficit to one.
However, the Expos eventually extinguished the White Sox comeback attempt to hang on for the win by their chinny chin chins.
Kudos to White Sox pitcher Jack (1) for pitching two solid innings where he allowed only two runs while striking out three Expos.
