The dog days of summer continued to wreak havoc on the Mosquito Division rosters.  This evening, the Giants and Reds teamed up to play against the Pirates and Dodgers

In an explosive display of offensive fireworks, the Giant-Reds topped the Pirate-Dodgers 15-13 in four innings of play at Christie Pits Diamond 3.

Here are the highlights:

  • Leading the attack for the Giants-Reds: Cameron with a double and single and 3 RBI’s; Dylan (15) knocked in 2 RBI’s with a double; Henry had a base hit and Brandon’s timely double in the top of the fourth with the bases loaded scored all three runners that were on base.
  • Not to be outscored the Pirates-Dodgers responded in similar fashion by exhibiting extreme patience at the plate and receiving timely RBIs from Oly who drove in two runs and Michael who drove in two runs as well.
  • Defensively Adam (14); Jacob; Jackson (3) and Adam (7) pitched for the Pirates-Dodgers and responding for the Giants-Reds were Alex, Harrison (8) [making hit Mosquito Division pitching debut!]; Lachlan and Tillie (13).
  • With the Pirates-Dodgers threatening in the  bottom of the fourth, Giants-Reds closer Tillie struck out the side to earn the the save and the combined celebration erupted on the field!

Another fun time was had by all on the diamond!
