THREE OF OUR TORONTO PLAYGOUNDS SELECT TEAMS ARE IN ACTION THIS WEEKEND AT THEIR RESPECTIVE TBA WEST PLAYOFF TOURNAMENTS

It’s a busy weekend of baseball as three of our Toronto Playgrounds Select Teams are participating in their respective Toronto Baseball Association (TBA) West Loop Playoff Tournaments.
Our TP teams are playing their TBA playoff tournaments under the rules of the double knockout formula whereby two losses knocks you out of the playoff round.
Here are some highlights:
- BANTAM SELECT (0-1) > Rexdale steamrolled over the Bantam Selects 23-2 in a three inning round robin affair at Carmen Bush Park. The Bantam Selects play their next round robin game on Saturday.
- MOSQUITO SELECT (0-1) > In a well played game, the York Riverdogs topped our Mosquito Selects 11-3 in five inning round robin game at Ravina Gardens Diamond 1. The Mosquito Selects will play Weston in their next round robin game on Saturday (August 17) morning at 10 a.m.
- ROOKIE BALL SELECT (0-1) > The Rookie Ball Selects kept it a 0-0 game against Bloordale 1 for three innings at Neilson Park. However, the Bombers eventually pulled away for a 17-2 victory over TP in six innings of round robin playoff action. The Rookie Ball Selects will play their next round robin game at Pelmo Park on Saturday (August 17) at 10 a.m. against an opponent still to be determined.
