‘September Madness’ is upon us.

The annual Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball Tournament to wrap up the 2013 season begins on Thursday, August 29 for the teams in our Midget Division and on Tuesday, September 3 for the teams in our Mosquito, Peewee and Bantam divisions.

Upwards of fifty-two tournament games across four age divisions have been scheduled over the course of fifteen days (weather permitting, of course). The sheer amount of baseball games slated to be played is baseball lover’s delight. It’s a virtual cornucopia of baseball from dawn to dusk. It’s no wonder that we fondly refer to our tournament as ‘September Madness’.

Here are the TP House League Baseball Tournament Schedules in PDF format:

A Midget Division best of seven championship series between the Crawfords and Monarchs kicks off the tournament on Thursday, August 29 at Dominico Field at Christie Pits at 8:00 p.m. Midget players are advised that only the first four games have been scheduled so far. If the remaining three games are necessary, they will scheduled on Sunday, September 8.

The tournament commences on Tuesday, September 3 for the teams in our Mosquito, Peewee and Bantam divisions. Please check your tournament schedule carefully for the dates and times of your team’s games.

Also, it is really important, given that the sun sets earlier and diamond 3 has no lights, and that we have a second game scheduled on diamond 2 each night, that players and coaches are ready to go at the time indicated on the schedule. Games scheduled for 5:45 p.m. will have to start at 5:45 p.m. regardless of how many players are present.
