Under the lights at Christie Pits Diamond 2, the Mets edged the Cubs 8-7 in a thrilling Mosquito Division showdown.
Although the Mets ran away with this one quickly, the Cubs never gave up. Down 8-2 in the last inning, the Cubs managed to score five to close within one. But the Cubbies comeback just fell short.
It was definitely a good game to end the regular season on and move forward to the tournament.
