The Toronto Playgrounds Baseball Committee wished to remind everyone that the our second annual Derby For Distance Event will be held today (Sunday, September 15) at Christie Pits Diamonds 1 and 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Have you ever wanted to try your luck against the pitching machine? We know you’re curious, so now is your chance!
You’ll have an opportunity to hit a baseball coming at speeds varying from 40 to 60 miles per hour. If that’s not enough speed for you…just, ask for more!
The cost is $10 for 10 pitches or $20 for 30 pitches.

Our goal is to have fun time while raising funds for the purchase of new equipment that benefit the children in our Toronto Playgrounds House League and Select Baseball operations in upcoming seasons.
Plus, there will be a raffle draw for some great prizes. And there will also be food and refreshments available.
