TP HOUSE LEAGUE BASEBALL HAS SCHEDULED SEVERAL EXCITING SATURDAY EVENTS TO CELEBRATE THE START OF ANOTHER WONDERFUL SEASON OF BASEBALL AT CHRISTIE PITS AND BICKFORD PARK; EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!!

All members of our TP House League Baseball family are cordially invited to attend our second annual TP Baseball Season Opening Week Event on Saturday, May 24 at Christie Pits from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Opening Week Event is being held to commemorate the commencement of the 2014 Toronto Playgrounds Baseball Season at Christie Pits and Bickford Park.

TP Baseball President Bill Evans and a coterie of dedicated volunteers are spearheading this wonderful initiative.

Here are some of the Opening Week Event highlights*:

  • An honoured dignitary (Toronto City Councillor Mike Layton) will throw out the ceremonial first pitch to inaugurate the start of our TP House League Baseball season at Dominico Field at Christie Pits.
  • Bantam House League Division season opening game at Dominico Field at Christie Pits (a.k.a. “Diamond 1).
  • Mosquito and Peewee Division Fielding & Pitching Clinics at Christie Pits Diamond 2.
  • Rookie Ball Batting Practice Event at Christie Pits Diamond 3.
  • Satisfy your hunger at our TP Baseball Barbecue Pit with some delicious hot dogs, veggie dogs, snacks and drinks.
  • Enter a raffle to win some amazing prizes.

ALL participating TP players attending the Opening Week Event are encouraged to wear their uniforms so they can partake in a group photo that will be taken at Dominico Field (a.k.a. Diamond 1) at 11:00 a.m.
