Under sunny skies this evening on the seafaring waters of Christie Pits Diamond Two Bay, the Pirates edged the Dodgers 9-8 in three shiver me timber innings of Mosquito Division action.
With the score knotted at 8-8 in the bottom of the third, Jonah (10) of the Pirates delivered a clutch RBI hit that allowed Olivia (6) to mosey on home with the Bucs winning run.
Here are some additional game highlights:
- Pirates starting pitcher Aaron (2) struck out three Dodgers in the top of the first.
- Olivia, Aaron, William (13), Charlie (3) and Jonah (10) had singles for the Bucs in the first inning.
- Oscar (1) of the Pirates fielded a groundout in Gold Glove fashion in the second inning.
- Buccaneers reliever William mowed down a pair of Artful Dodgers in the second.
- First time ball player Jayden (5) stroked his first ever TP Baseball regular season hit in the third.
- William stroked another single in the third.
