Under a sheath of warm and humid skies, the Orioles edged the Lizzies 7-6 in an exciting four inning Peewee Division Season Opener at Christie Pits Diamond 2 this evening.

Trailing 6-5 and with two runners on base in the bottom of the fourth, Michael (2) of the Orioles delivered a hard grounder down the first baseline for a massive 2 RBI triple that drove in the tying and winning runs.

Here are some additional game highlights:

  • Lizzies pitcher Jacob threw a no hitter in the first inning with one ground out and two Ks. Jacob also powered a fantastic home run in the second.
  • O’s reliever Thomas (5) pitched a no hitter in the third inning with 1BB and 3 Ks.
  • Jacob Klein (15) of the Orioles also pitched a no hitter in the fourth inning and made a fantastic fielding play on the mound to get the batter out at first.
  • Lots of great effort all around from both teams.
