ON A RED LETTER DAY AT CHRISTIE PITS, THE CARDS PREVAIL OVER THE BIG RED MACHINE IN A SPIRITED BATTLE OF THE REDS
Under a sumptuous red sky, the Cardinals defeated the Reds 10-7 in 3 ½ innings of Mosquito Red Division action this evening at Christie Red Pits Diamond 2.

- An exciting victory at home for the Cardinals versus the Reds this week.
- The Cards looked strong out of the gates with an impressive starting pitching performance by Elijah.
- Piper followed soon thereafter with a triple leading into a successful steal at home.
- The second inning saw Thomas take the spotlight with a great catch for an out a first followed by series of stolen bases in the second half of the inning.
- Isaac was impressive as always with consistent pitching including three strikeouts in the third and superb fielding.
- Patient at bats by the whole team led to a series of three runs on walks in the third as well.
- Great infield play by Lucas in the fourth allowed the Cardinals to hold the lead and keep the dangerous Reds bats at bay.

- The Battle of the Reds was a spirited affair.
- Alexander (1) was 2 for 2 at the plate, including a triple, 4 stolen bases (including home).
- Jake (13) went 2 for 2 at the plate, scoring 2 runs.
- Matthew (4) had a strong day at the plate with 2 triples.
- Griff (3) also went 2 for 2, and made a great play behind the plate catching a sky-high pop up.
