Here is a Lizzies game summary courtesy of Ted Sharp:

  • The Dodgers-Lizzies semi-final game saw more scoring than earlier in the tournament as pitching arms grew tired.
  • Quinn (14) continued his torrid hitting by going two for two with a double and a single. The single by the “Mighty Quinn”completed his tournament cycle: one single, three doubles, two triples and an over the fence home run.
  • Liam (15) also came up big at the end when he smashed a ball down the left field line that scorched the poor Dodgers outfielder and led to his second double in as many at bats. Liam followed it up with a single later in the game.
Lewis (10) came out to play and continued his solid contribution by pitching two innings and anchoring the Lizzies staff.
  • Coleman (2) had a tremendous inning at third base tagging three runners on pick-off attempts, retiring two of them.
