WITH MOTHER NATURE’S COOPERATION, THE FINAL GAME OF THE 2014 TORONTO PLAYGROUNDS HOUSE LEAGUE BASEBALL TOURNAMENT IS SCHEDULED BE PLAYED TODAY AT CHRISTIE PITS

The TP Baseball Committee has issued a reminder that the postponed 2014 Toronto Playgrounds Baseball Peewee Division Championship Game between the Lizzies and the Royals is scheduled to be played today (Saturday September 13), at 10:00 a.m. at Christie Pits Diamond 2.
The forecast is calling for rain in the morning…we may not end up getting any, and if we do, the forecast is for light rain. At this point, we will play in light rain so as to not have this final playoff game just keep being postponed. If the rain is too heavy to play in the morning, the plan will be to move the start time to noon or early afternoon, depending upon what the weather radar is showing.
Parents and Players are strongly advised to check the hotline (416-392-1914 [Press 4]) or our Twitter feed (@TPbaseballnews) at 9:00 a.m. to get an update on the status of the game.
We’ll keep our fingers crossed that we can start the game at 10:00 a.m., but one way or another the Committee would like to see us play this game on Saturday. We know that some people have other activities they’d like to plan for the weekend so we don’t want to keep people from being able to plan other things for Sunday.
The Lizzies and Royals will battle for all the marbles in a 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning playoff final at Christie Pits Diamond 2:

Players are Parents are advised to be at the diamond at least 20-25 minutes before the official start time to give the coaches a chance to get the lineups organized.
Please don’t assume that the game is off if it is raining….as with the tournament games we will play in conditions of light rain.
