2015 TP House League Baseball Season Opening Week Event on May 23


TORONTO PLAYGROUNDS BASEBALL HAS SCHEDULED SEVERAL EXCITING EVENTS TO CELEBRATE THE START OF ANOTHER WONDERFUL SEASON OF BASEBALL; EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

All members of our Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball program are cordially invited to attend our third annual TP House League Baseball Season Opening Week Event on Saturday, May 23 at Christie Pits from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The Opening Week Event is being held to commemorate the commencement of the 2015 Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball Season at Christie Pits, Bickford Park and Art Eggleton Park.

TP Baseball President Bill Evans and a coterie of our dedicated committee members and volunteers are spearheading this yearly event.

Here are some of the Opening Week Event highlights:

  • Assorted Baseball Skills Clinics (pitching, sliding & hitting) for players in our Rookie Ball, Mosquito and Peewee Divisions.
  • An honoured dignitary will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Dominico Field at Christie Pits. to inaugurate the start of our TP House League Baseball season.
  • Special farewell ceremony to our grand old Tee Ball diamond at Bickford Park.
  • Ribbon cutting ceremony to inaugurate our two new Tee Ball diamonds at Art Eggleton Park.
  • Satisfy your hunger at our TP Baseball Barbecue Zone with some delicious hot dogs, veggie dogs, snacks and drinks.

Scheduled events are subject to change.

ALL participating TP players attending the Opening Week Event are encouraged to wear their uniforms so they can partake in a group photo that will be taken at Dominico Field (a.k.a. Diamond 1) at 11:00 a.m.
