Beneath a ceiling of pristine blue and sunny skies, our Toronto Playgrounds Rookie Ball Selects won all three of their round robin games today at the Wexford-Agincourt Rookie Ball Tournament at Wishing Well Park in Scarborough.
With their three convincing round robin victories at the tourney, TP advances to tomorrow’s semi-final round against the Wexford-Agincourt Twins (the team hosting the weekend tournament).
Taking no prisoners, TP defeated the Martingrove White Sox 20-1 in six innings early this morning to win their opening round robin game at the tourney.
In the next proceeding, the TP Rookie Ball Selects topped the Leaside White 23-5 in six frames to win their second robin game.
And Toronto Playgrounds capped off the preliminary round with an 18-8 victory over the North Toronto A’s this evening to finish undefeated in round robin play.
The TP Rookie Ball Selects (3-0) will face off against Wexford-Agincourt in a Sunday (May 24) morning semi-final showdown at Wishing Well Park in Scarborough at 9:00 a.m.
GO! TP! GO!
