Under a canopy of warm and humid skies, the White Sox defeated the Jays 14-7 in four innings of Mosquito Division action this evening at Christie Pits Diamond 2.

Here are the White Sox highlights:

  • Firing on all cylinders, the White Sox played a stellar game
  • Incredible pitching from all four White Sox pitchers: Solly (14), Elijah (5), Rafi (9) and Cooper (3).
  • Lots of steals and key hits across the board to bring the players home
  • Great White Sox defense especially by Daniel (12) and Solly on a key out in the third inning.
  • Great team effort all around with every player contributing to the victory.

Here are the Jays highlights:

  • Four first time pitchers pitched again for the Jays.

  • In the first two games so far this season, the Bluebirds have used EIGHT different pitchers already and two of the three girls on the team!!!).

  • Jays starter Elliott (12) opened the proceedings in the first and had two strike outs while only giving up two runs.

  • Jays reliever Luz (5) pitched the second and had balls hit into play, which means she was throwing strikes.

  • Jays reliever Camille (14) came into the fray in the third.

  • Jeremy made a nice pickup from second base and threw out the runner at first.

  • Ibrahim (8) had a strike out during a relief stint in the fourth.

  • The Jays offence generated nine stolen bases, twelve walks and three respective RBI singles by Jeremy, Andre and James.
