WITH THE CESSATION OF PEEWEE TEAM PRACTICES AT PALMERSTON PUBLIC SCHOOL, THE TP BASEBALL COMMITTEE HAS RELEASED AN UPDATED PRACTICE SCHEDULE FOR BICKFORD PARK
The Toronto Playgrounds Baseball Committee would like to alert players and parents in our Peewee Division (2002-2003) that practice arrangements are being changed for one team each week.
Due to considerations regarding the size of the infield and the dimensions of the space in general regarding hitting, we are no longer (effective immediately) going to be holding one Peewee practice at the Palmerston Public School baseball diamond each week. That practice is being moved to take place at the Bickford South diamond, with the following timing: at 7:00 p.m. Whichever team has that practice will meet in the outfield of the South diamond while the Mosquito game is still in progress..they will obviously meet deep enough in the field so as to not interfere with the game (as happens with the Peewee practices taking place at Christie Pits each week). Once the Mosquito game wraps up (at 7:30 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.), the Peewee team will move in and use the infield for the remainder of the practice (until 8:30 p.m.).
There will be an equipment bag left at the Bickford South diamond for the Peewee Divsion coach to pick up for practice.
The Committee feels that this new arrangement will work better for the players and coaches. We’ve attached a revised schedule below with the new practice time and location listed…please use this schedule in place of the original one:
