Under the lights on a humid midsummer’s night, the Pirates defeated the Mets 10-3 in four innings of Peewee Division play tonight at Christie Pits Diamond 2.

Here is a Pirates summary of the proceedings:

  • A great outing for Pirates against the Mets!
  • The Bucs got off to a great offensive first at bat in the top of the first by scoring four runs without any outs!
  • Stellar Pirates Pitching was key with Zenon, Daniel and Aaron each pitching a scoreless inning.
  • Solid catching by Myles and Francis held up our defense.
  • Hitting the Mets pitching was tough. But great base running kept the Bucs on the scoreboard.
  • Special thanks to Mosquito Division call ups Will & Mei of the Giants for their great contributions to the Pirates effort versus the Mets.
