WITH A HARD RAIN FALLIN’, TORONTO PLAYGROUNDS GROUND THE CARDINALS AT ROTARY PARK

Beneath a ceiling of overcast and humid skies, our Toronto Playgrounds Mosquito Selects defeated the Royal York Cardinals 8-3 in a rain shortened two inning Etobicoke Baseball Association (EBA) Select Loop game this afternoon at Rotary Park.

Here are some highlights:

  • Jamie (52) had a lead-off double.
  • James (6) had a 2 RBI single for TP.
  • The Royal York pitcher had some mechanical issues with accuracy.
  • The rains came down like cats and dogs and washed away the diamond at Rotary Park and the second game of the scheduled doubleheader.

The TP Mosquito Selects (7-3) will play their next EBA Select Loop game on Sunday, August 9 when they travel to Lloyd McConnie Memorial Fields to play against the Martingrove White Sox at 3:00 p.m.
