Under the shiny happy rays of a glaring and humid sun, the Rays defeated the Mariners 10-5 in three innings of Mosquito Division play this evening at Christie Pits Diamond 2.

Here is a Rays summary of the proceedings:

  • Backed by solid pitching and superb defense, the Rays snapped a seven game winless drought and won 10-5.
  • Rays pitchers Dante (13), Nicolas (5) and Javert (14) combined to limit potent Mariners batting order to five runs.
  • Nicolas and Javert also helped with timely hits and all the Rays were hustling and cheering on their teammates to a well deserved win.
  • With the seven game losing streak over as the Rays get back to business next week with some young fresh arms taking to the mound.
  • And the Devilish Rays also received some really nice back-catching from Evan (9), Javert and Lucky (10) as well.
  • A total team victory for the Rays!
