IN A SPIRITED AFFAIR UNDER THE LIGHTS, THE GO GO LIZZIES PREVAIL OVER THE EXPOS AT CHRISTIE PITS
Game Post composed with file from Tracy Franklin
Beneath the incandescent lights on a hot and humid midsummer’s night, the Lizzies topped the Expos 11-3 in three fun innings of Peewee Division action at Christie Pits Diamond 2.
Here is an Expos summary of the proceedings:
-
With the arrival of the dog days of summer, the Expos were in great form despite a roster of five players plus Will for a total of six!
-
The game was tough but started with a blast of a home run by Taras (9)!
-
Dean (14) hit well against the Lizzies and delivered a couple of solid singles.
-
Olivia (6) made contact with the ball during every at bat and managed to get on base with a single in the third inning.
-
Will hit the ball hard for a one bagger and was also hit hard with the ball to garner a free base via a hit by pitch.
-
Han (2) had some hard luck at the plate when he was hit in the back with a Lizzies pitch. Shaking it off, Han took it well for the team.
-
Ella (8) showed some patience at the plate and got on base twice with a couple walks.
-
Every Expos player did a great job on the field with Taras pitching the first two innings and Will the third.
-
Olivia did a fine job at first base!
-
The Expos were small in number but not in effort or team spirit!!
-
Special thanks to the Lizzies for donating an outfielder each inning!
