The Toronto Playgrounds Minor Mosquito Baseball Team won their playoff tournament to become the 2015 Toronto Baseball Association (TBA) “A” division champions.

The TBA championship victory advances the team to the Ontario Baseball Association (OBA) playoff finals that will be played in Peterborough on Labour Day weekend.

The victory follows a first place finish in league play versus the other Toronto teams in their division and a second place finish in the ten team interlock loop with the York Simcoe Baseball Association. The Toronto Playgrounds team, in this age group, were also the 2014 champions too.

This team of ten-year olds features players from both of the Toronto Playgrounds house leagues – Annette and Christie Pits.

Credit the season’s success to the hard work and positivity of twelve kids who tried out for the team as strangers, joined as team mates and became close friends.

The Toronto Playgrounds Rep Baseball Association forms rep teams, from the Annette and Christie Pits house and select leagues, each season, starting in the fall. For tryout info email richard.helfrich@sympatico.ca.
