As late summer thunder clouds gathered ominously overhead, a short staffed Angels squad took to the field against the formidable White Sox home team for the final game of the 2015 Mosquito Division regular season.

Maggie (4) got things cracking in the top of the first, racking up another RBI which brought in Cooper (2). Taio (1) manufactured a second run, thrilling the crowd as he stole home in a superb heads up play to put the Angels up 2-0.

Taio kept up the momentum as he took his place behind the plate in the bottom of the first inning, throwing out a runner at second base and showing the White Sox there would be no free bases on his catching watch.

Angels starter Alex (9) showed a dramatic improvement in his pitching, throwing for an impressive strike count throughout the inning.

The second inning saw the debut of KJ, brought up from the Rookie Ball Cardinals, as the ninth player in the line up for the Angels. KJ made a quick impression, leading off the inning with a double into the outfield. This was followed with more hits by Taio and Julien (8) and leading to a three run inning that allowed the Halos to retake the lead 5-4.

Halos reliever Julien (8) took the mound in the bottom of the second and recorded two blistering strikeouts to hold the White Sox to just two runs.

Julien continued to shine in the top of the third with a well timed double, leading to two RBIs and a five run tally, putting the Angels up by four in what would be the final inning of the regular season.

But it was Angels closer Cooper (2) who brought the sell out crowd to their feet, closing the game with two strikeouts and throwing out a perfectly fielded grounder with a rocket to Taio at first.

An amazing finish to an amazing regular season. Congratulations to the entire Angels team!
