TAKING FLIGHT, THE BLUEBIRDS PREVAIL OVER THE M’s AT CHRISTIE PITS
Game Post composed with file from Tim Burke
Beneath the incandescent lights on a warm summer night, the Jays topped the Mariners 10-8 in four innings of Mosquito Division action tonight at Christie Pits Diamond 2.
Here is a Mariners log of the proceedings:
-
The Mariners were really aggressive on the bases with a series of stolen bases that put pressure on the Jays defense.
-
The M’s Coaches wanted to have as much fun as possible since the game was the last of the Mosquito Division regular season. As a result, there were many pick off attempts made, with only one being successful. Double play attempts almost successful.
-
The Mariners received great pitching from Jude (3), Liam (9), Coleman (13) and Eshetu (15).
-
Great M’s base stealing by Joaquin (6), Reed (1), Liam (9), Coleman, Kai (8) and Eshetu.
-
Great extra help from newly drafted third base Coach Peter!
-
And great hustle by Michael (9), brought up from the farm team!
