With the bases loaded and the game tied 7-7, Cooper (3) would take advantage of an A's error to bolt home with the White Sox's winning run in the bottom of the third inning at Christie Pits Diamond 2.

Beneath a layer of serene and overcast skies, the White Sox edged the A’s 8-7 in 3 ½ innings of Mosquito Division action this evening at Christie Pits Diamond 2.

The proceeding was an entertaining and tight back and forth seesaw affair between two talented and well coached teams.

Down 7-5, the White Sox took advantage of a series of A’s errors in the bottom of the third as they rallied for three runs to take an 8-5 lead.

White Sox closer Solly (14) struck out three in the top of the fourth to seal the deal on a hard fought win over the pesky A’s.
