RAIN HAS FORCED REVISIONS TO SUNDAY’S TP HOUSE LEAGUE BASEBALL TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
With the unfortunate continuation of the rain today, some of the our diamonds at Christie Pits and Bickford Park are again water covered. However, the Toronto Playgrounds Baseball Committee has decided that we will be able to use Christie Pits Diamond 3, and we are making the following changes to the ‘September Madness’ tournament schedule.
MOSQUITO DIVISION
The Committee are switching from a five-game to a four-game round robin schedule for the teams in our Mosquito Division. With this scenario, all of the Mosquito Division teams except the Angels and the A’s are finished, having played four games already.
The Angels will play the A’s this morning (Sunday, September 13) at 9:00 a.m. on diamond 3 to make up the game that was rained out yesterday morning.
After that game the round robin portion of the tournament will be completed and all the Mosquito Division teams will move into the quarter final round.
There will be a quarter-final game today on diamond 3 at 12:30 pm…that game will be the White Sox (5th seed) at the Jays (4th seed).
The remaining Mosquito Division quarter final games will take place over the next couple of evenings. The schedule for those will be sent out and posted later today.
PEEWEE DIVISION
Due to continuing rain, today’s Peewee Division round robin games are being moved to Christie Pits Diamond 3 and the times have been adjusted slightly for the later game.
Here is the schedule:
- 10:45 a.m. > Expos at Giants
- 2:30 p.m. > Rockies at Expos
In addition, our Sunday TP BBQ Lunch Event has also been cancelled.
