Game Summary edited with file from Marc Rose

Beneath a ceiling of warm and hazy skies, the Orioles defeated the White Sox 7-3 in 3 ½ innings of Mosquito Division action this evening at Christie Pits Diamond 2.

Here is a White Sox account of the proceedings:

  • In the first two innings, the White Sox were kept off the scoreboard despite well-earned walks from Sam (7), Callum (15), Khalil (6), and Daniella (13), and found themselves down 7-0 by the end of the second.
  • The top of the third started in dramatic fashion for the White Sox with back-to-back triples from Willem (12) and Ethan (14). Anthony (9) brought home two more runs after a single by Tavaris (5) and a walk by Khalil to bring the White Sox to within four.
  • In the bottom of the third, the White Sox were equally impressive, with reliever Khalil striking out the side and preventing any further runs by the O’s.
  • While Kade (4) started the top of the fourth with a walk and two stolen bases, the White Sox were unable to capitalize, and the game ended with a rundown near home plate.
