Beneath a blue canvas of warm and humid skies, our Toronto Playgrounds Mosquito Selects finished round robin play this afternoon at the Woodstock Minor Baseball Association Tournament in Beachville, Ontario with a perfect 3-0 record.

As a result, TP has qualified for the semi-final elimination phase of the tournament. The TP Mosquito Selects will play in an early semi-final game tomorrow (Sunday, June 12) at 9:00 a.m. against an opponent still to be determined with an opportunity to advance to the tourney’s championship game.

Toronto Playgrounds opened the Woodstock tournament with a convincing 9-1 victory over the Woodslee Orioles yesterday (Friday, June 10) evening at Woodstock District Community Complex Diamond 2.

Early this afternoon, the TP Mosquito Selects prevailed for a 9-5 win over the pesky Ingersoll Ironbirds at Woodstock District Community Complex Diamond 1.

Taking no prisoners, TP capped off the round robin portion of the tourney later this afternoon with an 18-0 blowout victory over the Woodstock Minors at Woodstock District Community Complex Diamond 2.
