Game Summary edited with file from Tracy Franklin

Under a blanket of muggy summer skies, the Rangers defeated the Reds 10-5 in 3 ½ innings of Bantam Division play this evening at Dominico Field at Christie Pits.

Here is a Rangers account of the proceedings:

  • The Bantam Division Rangers took down the Reds on a hot night at Dominico Field on Monday evening.
  • Without equivocation, the Rangers bats were BBQ smokin’ hot!!! Cormac (3) blasted a line drive to centre field. Both Jacob (11) and Cameron (14) hit hard grounders out to left field. And Julian (1) got on base with a single. Almost everyone in the Rangers lineup got on base by showing patience at the plate, which contributed to our win!
  • Josh (12) made a beautiful double play from left field when he came to snag a major league pop up and stepped on third to erase a wayfaring Reds baserunner.
  • Rangers pitchers Adam, Cormac, Josh and Alysa combined to stymie the Big Red Machine and earn the sweet victory.
  • Everyone Ranger came to the game and played well. Well done Rangers!
