IN A BACK AND FORTH ROCK ‘EM SOCK ‘EM BATTLE, THE EXPOS RALLY IN THE FINAL INNING TO PREVAIL OVER THE CUBBIES AT BICKFORD PARK

Tristan (6) [top left] launches a solo home run blast to the deep dish pizza nether regions of centre field in the first inning. In two at bats, Tristan went 1 for 1 [home run, walk] with two runs scored and a RBI. Winn (13) [top right] sparked the Cubs attack by going 2 for 2 at the dish with a run scored and 2 RBI's against the Expos. Juan (13) [bottom right] delivers the game tying run in the fourth inning. In three at bats, Juan went 1 for 1 [two walks, single] with a run scored and a RBI. With the game tied 8-8, Matthew L. (14) [bottom left] drove home the Expos winning run in the fourth frame. In three at bats, Matthew L. went 2 for 3 [double, single] with a run scored and 2 RBI's.

Winn sparked the Cubs attack by going 2 for 2 at the dish with a run scored and 2 RBI’s against the Expos. Juan (13) [bottom right] delivers the game tying run in the fourth inning. In three at bats, Juan went 1 for 1 [two walks, single] with a run scored and a RBI. With the game tied 8-8, Matthew L. (14) [bottom left] drove home the Expos winning run in the fourth frame. In three at bats, Matthew L. went 2 for 3 [double, single] with a run scored and 2 RBI’s.

Beneath a layer of warm and sunny skies, the Expos edged the Cubs 9-8 in four thrilling innings of Peewee Division action this evening at the Bickford Park South Diamond.

Down 8-7, the Expos rallied for a pair in the bottom of the fourth to upend the Cubs. After Jonathan (3) and Andy (1) to lead off the frame to put two aboard, Juan (13) stroked a RBI single to bring Jonathan home with the tying run.

With no outs and a pair of ducks on the pond, Matthew L. (14) delivered a RBI single that allowed Andy to motor homeward with the winning run.

The spirited proceeding was an entertaining back and forth seesaw battle between two talented and well coached teams. In their final Peewee Division regular season game before the end of season ‘September Madness’ playoff tournament, the gritty Expos upended the pesky Cubs for the victory.
