REGISTER NOW FOR OUR INAUGURAL INDOOR BASEBALL SKILLS CLASSES AT GIVINS-SHAW PUBLIC SCHOOL
UPDATE: As of November 11, all available openings for the Fall 2016 edition of the Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball Academy have been filled.
Registrations are now being accepted for the Toronto Playgrounds House League Baseball Academy.
The TP House League Baseball Committee is very excited to announce this new undertaking by our league. The Academy is an on-going indoor skills and drills class, made up of weekly sessions that are ninety minutes long. Each week’s session will focus on specific baseball skills and activities. Participants will be able to enjoy even more baseball while enhancing their skills and building increased self-confidence in their baseball abilities.
The on-site head instructor of the ‘Baseball Academy’ is Joel Scott, probably known to many of you as ‘Umpire Joel’ and/or ‘Field Supervisor Joel’. Joel’s many years of playing and instructing baseball make him extremely well-suited to the role of head instructor. Two assistant instructors will be working with Joel each week to deliver the program.
The four week pilot program for the Baseball Academy will begin next Wednesday, November 16 and run on four consecutive Wednesdays until December 7.
The Academy will take place in the gym of Givins-Shaw Public School (located at 49 Givins Street, near the corner of Queen St. West and Shaw St.)
The cost of the pilot Baseball Academy session is $40.00 (for the four weeks).
The pilot program will feature two age group classes:
8 to 10 year olds from 6:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
11 to 13 year olds from 7:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.
